Welcome

Welcome to the website for Brooklands School and Little Brooklands in Stafford, offering quality education and care for children from 3 months to 11 years.

The following pages will give you an impression of who we are, what we do and what we stand for. We hope it is clear that above all else we want our boys and girls to enjoy their childhood at School. We are committed to providing a broadly based, dynamic and fun education where a love of learning is nurtured in all areas of school life.

We want children at Brooklands to develop their own self-confidence whilst at the same time encouraging each other to try their hardest at as many things as possible, without the fear of failure. Encouragement and the celebration of achievement are the central themes throughout the School.

If, after looking at this and the rest of the website you would like to see us for real, then please contact my secretary, Mrs Paula Davies, for an appointment and you will be assured of a very warm welcome.

Yours sincerely

The Ethos and Aims of Brooklands School

  1. To enable our children to realize their full potential in a caring, family community.
  2. To provide a secure and stimulating environment in which pupils are encouraged and challenged to fulfil their potential both academically and physically and gain an appreciation of the world in which they live.
  3. To ensure that the school atmosphere is such that pupils learn to live amicably together, gaining a keen awareness of others, their feelings and needs and begin to build a reasoned set of attitudes, values and beliefs based on Christian principles.
  4. To respect each pupil as a valued individual and to imbue feelings of confidence, independence and self-esteem.
  5. To promote kindness and courtesy and to make second nature the social graces, manners and standards of behaviour which create a favourable impression on others.
  6. To liaise with parents, enlisting their co-operation and interest in order to create a happy partnership working in trust.
  7. To prepare each pupil for the next stage of education, taking into careful consideration individual abilities, aptitudes, personalities and needs.

Founded in Faith, Forward in Freedom

Philosophy

The philosophy of the school is to provide a secure, stimulating and structured environment where each child is encouraged to achieve as high an academic standard as possible, at the same time developing individual interests and talents in a wide range of areas, both inside and outside the classroom.

The children learn to live as happy and caring members of a school community, which values their personal contribution, and also the needs of others, all within a Christian framework.

A committed and enthusiastic staff of qualified teachers, ensures that each child receives maximum individual attention in class groups of twenty pupils or less.

Children may join the school at any age: admission is by interview, which is followed by a day spent in the school.
