Wrap-around care
WAC (Wide Awake Club)
WAC provides FREE 'Before School' activities for children from 3 years upwards from 8:00am until 8:30am.
Care can even be provided from 7:45 am if needed, although this carries an extra charge.
There is also a 'drop-off' facility for busy parents: from 8:00am, children can be dropped at the main door where they will be greeted by the school secretaries and escorted to their WAC room.
Parents and children are also welcome to join us for breakfast in the School Hall between 8:00am and 8:25am for which there is a small charge. Take-aways for parents are also available!
BASH (Brooklands After School Hours)
BASH provides care for children from the end of their school day until 6:00pm. There is a sliding scale of charges dependent on booking options based on half hourly sessions.
Situated in the Library and Year 1 room, BASH also has access to the ICT Suite next door - and for those sunny afternoons - the School field.
Children booked in may have tea, consisting of filled roles, cakes, fruit and drinks, whilst enjoying both individual and group activities, reading and computers.
BLAST (BrookLands After School Time)
Our holiday club runs in all holiday times throughout the year. Open for up to 12 weeks per year including half terms, children who attend BLAST, can be guaranteed fun packed days full of activities and play; which includes organised trips out, sports and games, art and craft, cookery, computers, den building, sewing and gardening to name a few!
The club is run by a dedicated, supportive team of qualified staff - all of whom are known to Brooklands, which enables the children to thrive in a happy, secure and friendly atmosphere.
HQ is the School Hall but smaller groups use various School rooms and of course the outside.
BMX (Brooklands Minibus Express)
We currently run two daily services to and from Brooklands throughout the year during term time, although we will always consider extending the route and / or creating new routes according to need:
- South-west: serving areas from Cannock Chase and Acton Trussell
- North-west: serving areas from Swynnerton and Stone
The minibuses stop at locations that are convenient for those using the minibus. These stops are agreed mutually with the emphasis on BMX providing a door-to-door service where possible.
All the drivers are known to Brooklands School and have had CRB clearance and have taken the appropriate driving courses.
